Key Responsibilities:
- Design of web application interfaces through from wireframes and prototypes to final solution
- Presentation of ideas to clients/management
- Testing of interface designs
- Conduct accessibility audits and make recommendations for improvements of interfaces
- Keep up to date with industry standards of accessibility and usability
A Typical Day as an Interface Designer:
Your typical day as an Interface Designer will involve delivering web application interfaces that ensure a seamless user experience. You will produce interface templates for the web using HTML and XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash and other methods. You will also regularly use Photoshop to prepare web ready images. A key part of the process will involve usability and accessibility testing, to ensure that users enjoy interacting with and visiting the website. There will be elements of client/management contact where you will present your ideas and discuss how to move forward.
