Advanced Networking Specialist with CCNA
CCNA Networking Course Overview
The Advanced Networking Specialist course with the Security and Messaging credentials is the premier certification for networking professionals who analyse the business, security and messaging requirements for organisations, and implement and design a secure network infrastructure based on the Microsoft® Windows Server® system. The MCSE is one of the most widely recognised and sought after technical certifications in the IT industry, and with Security and Messaging specialisations will allow you to further your career, knowledge, and skills in two areas which are in high demand and valued by networked organisations of all types and sizes.
CCNA Networking Certification
Combining the Microsoft certifications with the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) accreditation will allow you to apply your knowledge of Windows based networking with Cisco physical and hardware based networks; the backbone of all network topologies. This will allow you to gain skills in working with Windows software based network technology and Cisco hardware based networking; a combination which will provide students with wider career opportunities and raise your knowledge of networking devices, protocols, and standards.
The Advanced Networking Specialist with CCNA is appropriate for individuals who wish to become:
- Systems engineers/Technical support engineers
- Systems analysts/ Network analysts
- Technical consultants
- Network and infrastructure security consultants
- Messaging consultants
- Cisco network engineers
Students enrolled on the programme will first study for and gain the CompTIA A+ certification proving the candidate has a broad base of knowledge and competency in core hardware and operating system technologies. The MCDST credential demonstrates that individuals have the skills to successfully support end users and troubleshoot desktop environments running the Microsoft Windows XP operating system.
The MCSA and MCSE credentials demonstrate that individuals have the skills necessary to lead organisations in the successful installation, administration, implementation, and design of the most widely used windows client and server operating system in the industry.
Students will be able to further enhance their skills and expertise by taking additional exams earning them specialisations in Security and Messaging. The Security specialisation qualification will demonstrate your ability to plan, design, and implement Windows security solutions in mid to large sized companies. Gaining the Messaging Specialisation will allow you to apply strategic knowledge and be able to design new and existing exchange infrastructures including security strategy.
The Cisco Certified Network Associate certification validates the student’s ability to install, operate, configure, and troubleshoot routed and switched networks allowing you to broaden your skills and career opportunities using physical hardware.
CCNA Networking Training Delivery
The programme consists of twelve study units allowing students to focus on working through specific areas in a logical order to ensure pre-requisite knowledge and skill is gained. Each unit prepares students for specific exams by providing clear guidance on exam objectives through course materials combined with support from qualified CompTIA, Microsoft, and Cisco trainers.
Programme Materials
Upon starting each unit, each student will be provided with comprehensive study materials for that unit contained in manuals, guides, and CD-ROM. Study manuals following the official exam objectives will be provided with testing software to assess your level of knowledge and readiness for the exam. Study companions will instruct students on how to study for that unit including timescales.
