Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
MCSA Course Overview
The Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) credential proves that an IT professional has the skills to successfully implement, manage, and troubleshoot the ongoing needs of Microsoft Windows® based operating environments.
As an information technology (IT) professional, you have a choice of earning two different credentials to highlight your Microsoft Windows® knowledge and expertise:
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
The MCSA training course is appropriate for individuals who wish to become:
- Systems administrator
- Network administrator
- Information systems administrator
- Network operations analyst
- Network technician
- Technical support specialist
The CompTIA A+ certification is included in this programme and provides both foundation training as well as a separate and distinct credential.
Earning the CompTIA A+ certification proves that a candidate has a broad base of knowledge and competency in core hardware and operating system technologies including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking.
MCSA Training Delivery
The programme consists of six study units allowing students to focus on working through specific areas in a logical order.
Each unit prepares students for specific exams by providing clear guidance through the course materials combined with individual support from qualified mentors.
Classroom based workshops include additional exam preparation advice and assistance and provide students with an opportunity to resolve any difficulties they have encountered while studying.
In order to maintain an efficient flow of information and to ensure that effective support can be offered, tests and mock exams are sent to students at key stages throughout the programme. This allows a student's progress to be monitored and logged on Advent's student management system so that support can be provided where necessary.
